ANSWER:
According to historians, Halloween is typically
linked to the Celtic
festival of Samhain. The name comes from Old Irish and means
roughly "summer's end". The Celts believed the
border between this world and the Otherworld became thin
on Samhain, allowing spirits to pass through. The family's
ancestors were honored while harmful spirits were warded
off. It is believed that the need to ward off harmful spirits
led to the wearing of costumes and masks.*

What does the word "Nevada" mean in Spanish?

Nevada is the Spanish word for snowfall;
snow-capped or snow-clad.
